Richard (you think of him as Rich!) and I are still happily married--we celebrate 40 years in 2009, too. We are thrilled to have become grandparents six months ago. Eva Irene (and her parents, Kiran and Alex Wimberly) live in Belfast, N. Ireland where they are both Presbyterian ministers. Our oldest, Amalie and her husband Jon have recently moved in with us, to save on rent and get ready to buy a home in a year or two. Our son Simon is in the Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, so far, out of harm's way. Richard loves his work teaching seminary students. I have recently made a career change, after 15 years in the Early Childhood Education field. I have my own business creating stitchery art from photographs. It is such a delight to be full-time in a creative pursuit. Not making money at it, but at least there are tax deductions... I haven't been to Bend in three or four years, so I'm really looking forward to the lovely Central Oregon air. Richard is sorry to miss out on the reunion with old friends. |

We live in Alaska so it doesn't always work out to be in the Bend area at the time of the reunions.
