Comment: Hi everyone!  After finishing up Bend HS, I went back to Seattle, messed around in politics (adoption reform--opening sealed records, maybe you've heard of WARM or OARA); attended the UW and got a BA & MA in Speech Communication. Taught for 17 years in community colleges;  work for Shoreline CC here in Washington (did continuing ed mgt, now run a testing ctr); live on the Kitsap Peninsula with my hubby & 2 cats. Travel Brazil & Spain & still play the piano (pix taken in Barcelona).



I am amazed and saddened at reading all the deaths from our class; far too many for our age.   It's disturbing.



Sydney, I've mentioned your commencement speech a number of times over the years to my friends. I applauded you then--you were so right.  I'm glad to see the changes in Bend today. It's not perfect, but much better in some ways.



I disliked Bend as a high school student. I was a city girl--Portland/Seattle, but as an adult, I appreciate its beauty and visit when I can. I love those stars at night!



It's doubtful that I'll make the reunion. I just found out and it's a long drive from Seattle.  Take care--have a good time, be adventurous but stay safe.
Grade Schools Attended: Too numerous to list. Dad was a golf pro--we moved around a lot.

Comment: I work for the city of Fruitland, Idaho and Ontario, Oregon, as building official. I have been married 10 years to Judy. We have a hobby farm and love being in the country. I hunt elk each fall. We burn firewood for heat in the winter, which I chop and split in the forest. We have a total of 8 grandchildren, 4 goats, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Life is good and we thank God every day!!
